One World Week Celebrated Our World And Its Faiths

12 Mar

We marked our annual One World Week after the Lent half term, our annual exploration and celebration of our world and its faiths.

As part of the week, each class visited a different place of Worship, with pupils learning more about Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam and Sikhism. The children enjoyed learning about different faiths and cultures and it was wonderful to see them engaged and listening so respectfully. They were amazing ambassadors for our school!

Junior 6 visited the Gurdwara in Leamington Spa, Junior 5 the Birmingham Central Mosque, Junior 4 went to the Buddhist Peace Pagoda in Birmingham, Junior 3 to the Singers Hill Synagogue in Birmingham, Junior 2 visited a St Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in Birmingham, while Junior 1 went to St Mary's Church in Warwick and our Reception classes visited our local St Augustine's Church in Kenilworth. Many thanks to all who facilitated the trips.
